About

Long Live Comedy has being going 6 strong years and since it started back in 2006 it has seen a lot of great comedians rise through the comedy scene. The likes of Chris Ramsey and Sarah Millican started out at Long Live Comedy. This is what makes it such an amazing gig; you get to see the stand-up stars of the future right now. Long Live comedy offers a unique mix of new acts finding their comedy voice and established acts trying out new material. Every once in a while a massive name in comedy will also drop in to try out some new ideas and throughout the year the biggest acts from the North-East try out material for their Edinburgh Fringe Shows.

"Long Live Comedy always felt like a lovely comfortable sitting room where you were allowed to fail. They liked it if you succeeded too but a room you’re allowed to fail in is a haven for creativity and experimentation. Glad it’s still going strong. x"

Who will you see this Tuesday?

We are a night that offers opportunities to newer acts to hone their craft alongside a mix of more experienced ones trying new stuff out. You can get a seasoned professional you've seen on telly, tomorrow's star or just a bloke in his underwear reminiscing about 70's Coronation Street.

PREVIOUS ACTS include Sarah MIillican, Chris Ramsey, Reg D Hunter, Gav Webster, Simon Donald (Co-founder of The VIz), Kai Humphries, Carl Hutchinson and yes we once had a semi naked dude talking about soap operas too.

Come along and enjoy yourselves and be part of that special and occasionally mad night!
