Joe Mclachlan was Mc tonight. Don’t mention football he hates it. He probed the crowd like a veteran I think It was his first time mc-ing the night though. Up first was George back from Edinburgh was looking very debonair. Working the stage with animal sex stories. Sharon Race with some material was the next comedy fodder. Parties for the sake of parties and love of fat food were topics she mulled over. The best things life are free the veteran club performer wailed over, some very good stuff from Sharon. John Thornley next an ex accountant doing new material, puny tales from suburbia. Wacky and off the wall humour. Awkwardly weird off beat ideas.
BUBBA LAHZI – An older South African gent I hope he won’t mind me saying, political satire from the outsider point of view, interesting. Andy Clarke next he has his glasses on so he can see our beady eyes. He shared his chocolates (I won’t ruine his expensive joke) Talked about his last gig and having a sensitive operation (something up his arse). Did a nice impression of a tea pot. Sharpe, quick and very witty, working as a carer another flow of consciousness.
John – new to the club looking beyond his years with a beard and moustache, He’s a film student who farts in relationships. Finishing up was Jack Norris with his 1st gig. Showed promise. Joe ended the night talking about his girlfriend snoring.
